22 Kids and Countings Christmas special sees feud escalate between family

22 Kids And Counting: Noel and Sue remember their son Alfie

Sue Radford, the matriarch of the nation’s beloved Radford family, is welcoming viewers into her home for a Christmas episode of 22 Kids and Counting.

The mum-of-22’s favourite time of the year is Christmas and she celebrates the occasion with mountains of gifts and food for the entire family.

However, this year’s Christmas is thrown into chaos as sibling rivalry reaches new levels and threatens to cast a shadow over the holiday joy.

Luke and Chloe are not on speaking terms and the tension has reached a point which could ruin Christmas for everyone else. Are the rest of the siblings getting along well, or are they also at loggerheads?

Adding to the drama, Daniel drops a bombshell, revealing his plans to move Down Under in the upcoming year. Sue is left devastated by his announcement.

A synopsis for the show reads: “In a desperate bid to salvage what could be their last Christmas together, Sue takes a heart-wrenching step, cancelling the Radford’s Christmas and seeking solace at her mother’s house.

“Can Dad Noel rise to the challenge and reunite the Radford’s, saving Christmas and preserving the essence of their unique family dynamic?”

Viewers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the episode, but will they be able to celebrate Christmas together? Will the feuding siblings be able to make amends or could it all end in a fight?

Sue had her first child, Chris, when she was just 14 years old in 1989 while her youngest, Heidi, was born in 2020. So there is quite the age gap between the pair.

Speaking on YouTube earlier this year, Sue and Noel said the most common misconception about them is that they are not financially independent.

Sue shared: “[People say] ‘You can’t possibly pay for all those children.’

“I don’t think people realise that we don’t just have our bakery – we have YouTube, a TV programme – there’s different incomes!”

The Christmas special episode airs on Sunday, December 17 at 8pm on Channel 5.
