I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!'s Grace Dent apologised to her campmates for leaving the show, in emotional scenes from tonight's episode.
The MasterChef star has exited the jungle show on medical grounds and in tonight’s episode, her campmates were told of her departure.
Nick Pickard read a letter from Grace out loud to his fellow celebrities to announce the news.
In her note, Grace said: “My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons. My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all.
“You’ve held me up and it’s been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent.”
The campmates immediately shared their shock and were quick to dismiss the idea that Grace had let them down.
Jamie Lynn Spears shouted "Love you, Grace", while tearful Danielle Harold also shouted out loud: “Love you, Grace.”
JLS singer Marvin Humes yelled: “Miss you, Grace”, while Hollyoaks legend Nick said: “That’s really sad.”
Marvin insisted: “She hasn’t let us down!” as Danielle agreed and said: “Bless her, she did really well.”
Fred Sirieix added: “She didn’t let us down!”
ITV announced earlier today that restaurant critic Grac left the jungle show on medical grounds.
A statement from a show spokesman said: “She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”
Grace had said, before facing the Touchdown of Terror trial, that she was struggling in the jungle.
She told campmate Josie Gibson last week: “I’ve had enough. I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home.”
And she added in the Bush Telegraph: “I haven’t got a lot left in me at the moment. I’m just keeping on a face for everybody.”
During Sunday night’s episode it was announced that Grace would face the next trial, dubbed Down The Tubes, with Josie.
EastEnders star Danielle will now take part in the trial alongside Josie.
Since leaving the show, Grace has been pictured at the airport in Australia, ready to board a flight home to the UK.
