I’m A Celeb final viewers slam ‘stupidly dangerous’ act by one celebrity

I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fans were thrilled to see Sam Thompson crowned King of the Jungle, but many were left watching in fear as he excitedly jumped on pal Pete Wicks on the iconic rickety bridge.

Sam, 31, was greeted by ex-TOWIE star Pete, 35, after being crowned king by hosts Ant and Dec, with the duo sharing an emotional hug. Clearly excited to see his best friend, Sam jumped on Pete and wrapped his legs around him as they enthusiastically embraced one another.

While the sweet moment reduced some viewers to tears, it also left many fearing for the embracing pair as the bridge rocked underneath them.

"God they wobbled so much, I thought they were going over too, poor Pete," one person wrote online, as a second said: "on that bridge…………that was really stupidly dangerous ………… massive safety risk".

A third said: "Blimey Sam really needs to be careful with how he goes charging and jumping around and into people. He could have ended up diving off the bridge there!"

"they're going to fall off the rope bridge," a fourth I'm A Celeb fan simply stated.

Other TV viewers were distracted by Pete's eyes as they appeared to be swollen during his reunion with Sam, with some questioning what had happened to the TOWIE star in Australia.

"What's happened to Pete wicks eyes? Looks like an allergic reaction," one TV viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. A second fan wrote on Instagram: "Tell him to fix Pete's eyes what's he been doing to them and his face."

On Monday 11 December, the day after the final aired, Pete took to Instagram to set the record straight and confirmed he had suffered a reaction to mosquito bites while in Australia.

"Also, you'll all be pleased to know my face has returned to normal following the horrific reaction I had to the mosquito bites," Pete explained on his Instagram Stories. He also jokingly added: "They saw my face and thought it was an all you can eat buffet."

Pete has been living it up in Australia in recent weeks after jetting out to support his best friend Sam, who beat Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage in the final. Liverpool ex-boxer Tony, 41, came in second place while UKIP founder Nigel, 59, came third.

The trio spent over three weeks in the Australian jungle alongside fellow celebrities including Josie Gibson, Marvin Humes, Nella Rose, Danielle Harold, Jamie Lynn Spears and Fred Sirieix.
