This Morning: Zara McDermott weighs in on ADHD comments
Sam Thompson’s girlfriend Zara McDermott appeared on This Morning discussing her partner’s experience on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.
However, ITV viewers were quick to notice that she was not out on Australia’s Gold Coast supporting him.
Family and friends of loved ones who take part in the ITV show usually fly out to meet the stars after they are voted off.
However, Zara has not followed in the footsteps of Marvin Humes’ wife, Rochelle or Nick Pickard’s partner, who have both jetted Down Under to greet their partners.
Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to question why the former Strictly Come Dancing star is still in the UK.

Marisa said: “Sam’s best friend is there waiting for him when he leaves the Jungle. I’d be upset if I were Zara! #ThisMorning.”
While Matt penned: “Zara isn’t in Australia as she’s back doing strictly stuff next week I believe for the strictly final for people wondering also contracted for that show I believe till it’s finished #ThisMorning.”
A third simply said: “Who is in Australia? #thismorning.”
Kelly added: “Why is the girlfriend in the studio and not in Australia?”

Zara took part in Strictly this year and was voted out on week five of the BBC competition which will draw to a close next weekend.
However, if she had stayed in the competition longer her schedule would have meant she would not have been able to join Sam.
Instead, former The Only Way is Essex star Pete Wicks agreed to support his best friend and travel down under.
She said that Pete cleared his “whole diary for two/three weeks to be out there” to support his Made In Chelsea friend.

Taking to social media, Zara shared with her 1.8 million Instagram followers the real reason why she won’t be waiting for him when he crosses the bridge.
In a story, she said: “Pete is going. We’ve had a few laughs and jokes about this.”
“But in all seriousness; Sam thought I was still going to be in Strictly, bless him, the optimism.”
She added: “Pete cleared his whole diary for two/three weeks to be there.”
Zara also mentioned that she had other work which will be on our televisions in the new year.
She said: “I also have had to rush back to work as soon as Strictly finished to finish two of my documentaries before Xmas.”
The reality star also admitted that she was “currently abroad filming” for them and also had “training” for her final Strictly number.
