Waterloo Road star Tom Payne has shared the exciting news that his wife, Jennifer Ackerman, is expecting their second child.

The actor, who also starred in The Walking Dead, reposted a sweet snap of Jennifer showing off her baby bump at a Vogue event. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020 after Covid delayed their wedding, already have a son who will turn two in January.

Jennifer, a model and singer known as Final Child, originally posted the photo with the caption: "Here we go again @thetompayne." followed by a heart emoji. Tom, originally from Somerset, has found success across the pond with roles in popular TV shows including The Walking Dead and Prodigal Son.

Before making it big in the US, he played troubled Brett Aspinall in BBC's Waterloo Road and George Best in Best: His Mother's Son. Tom isn't the only Waterloo Road regular expecting a baby, as ex-co-star Chelsee Healey is also expecting a baby.

The actress, who plays Goldie McQueen in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, revealed the surprising news in July, expressing her excitement about being pregnant again after having her daughter Coco five years ago. Chelsee shared with Closer magazine: "I'm so excited to be pregnant again. I feel like the timing is just right. I adored my bump last time with Coco, I've actually missed it."

She also mentioned that she's always wanted a "little team of babies" and would consider having more in the future. Although she hasn't officially introduced her new partner to the public, she described their relationship as very supportive.

In her chat with the pubication, she said: "This is the most supportive relationship I've ever been in. My friends and family love him, and he's the first bloke I've introduced Coco [daughter, aged five] to, which says a lot.
