Shoppers say Amazon has a £12 alternative to the viral £35 Skin Doctors Instant Facelift

Although the last few years have seen an increase in cosmetic surgery, it seems most people are now on the hunt for less invasive means of giving their looks a tweak.

Fromusing a gua sha to sculpt their faceto relying onlip plumping glossesandlipstick tricksto make their lips appear fuller, it seems we’re all less inclined to turn to needles and surgery when we want to change up our looks.

However, one cosmetic procedure that seems impossible to do without going under the knife is a facelift. Although there are plenty of products out there that promise to help with early signs of ageing, getting a facelift-worthy result from a serum or cream seems unlikely. Until now, that is.

Skin Doctors Instant Facelift, £26.09 here (was £34.79), went viral after it gave an almost instant lifted look to people’s faces, with reviews saying things like: “Skin Doctors Instant facelift is FANTASTIC! I started using it 2 weeks ago, morning and night, and it looks like I've gone back in time. It does look like I've gone through surgery.”

Another said: “Used this for years now! It does smooth out fine lines definitely but you will want a moisturiser on top.”

The surgery-free serum works in just five minutes to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and lifts and tucks the skin on your face to make you look more youthful. It combines three highly specialised lifting and firming technologies that form a tightening matrix to hold your skin taut and firm, giving you an instantly lifted look.

Although Skin Doctors Instant Facelift, £26.09 here (was £34.79), became the go-to, some reviewers said they hadn’t noticed a difference and its higher price meant they were left seriously miffed about wasting money.

However, there’s a new product on the block that’s promising almost exactly the same results, and it’s more than half the price of Skin Doctors’.

Colorsport’s Brow Lift, £12.35 here, is made with an advanced Instantlift Formula the visibly smooths and tightens your skin, giving it a lifted appearance, and don’t let the ‘brow’ name fool you – it can be used all over your face to lift sagging or lined areas, and works as the ideal primer for your makeup.

The budget-friendly alternative also contains plenty of the same ingredients as the more costly Skin Doctors one, including glycerin for plumping your skin and minimising wrinkles, Hydrolyzed Sesame Protein, which provides tightening, firming and moisturising effects on the skin, and Serine which helps skin retain its moisture, giving it a healthier look and feel that supports the structures in your skin that result in a more youthful appearance.

If you’re looking to overhaul your ‘tweakments’ routine in favour of something less invasive, Plump It has a whole range of different products that are designed to be a needle-free alternative to your usual filler.

The Plump It! No Needles Dermal Filler, £26.25 here, and the Plump It No Needles Lip Filler Kit 2 Pack, £32 here (was £40), both give instant results that rival your aesthetician’s, leaving your wrinkles smoother and fuller, and your lips looking plumper and more defined.

The results appear almost immediately, and can last up to nine hours, making them perfect for day-to-day use, or for topping up just before a big event.
