Manchester United vs Bournemouth odds
Here are the latest match odds for Manchester United vs Bournemouth from our top-rated football bookies. Odds are subject to change.
Manchester United vs Bournemouth betting preview
It has taken a while, but the much-vaunted Andoni Iraola is now working his magic at Bournemouth.
The former Rayo Vallecano boss has now seen his side win four of their last six Premier League games to climb well clear of the danger zone – they sit seven points above the line following their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in midweek.
Manchester United would do well not to underestimate them.
It remains hard to know what to make of Erik ten Hag’s side. Any United defeat immediately becomes a crisis, blown out of all proportion, and it’s easy to miss the fact they’ve now won six of their last eight in the league.
That’s strong form but when you watch them, they fail to convince, and clear problems remain at both ends of the pitch, not to mention off it.
Their recent 3-0 win at Everton remains their only league victory by more than a single goal and anyone who saw that game will know they could easily have been behind at the interval.
Wednesday’s home win over Chelsea was a decent one but they’ve lost five times at Old Trafford already this season (three in the league).
Sir Alex Ferguson’s name may be prominent on one of the stands but the aura of his time as manager has long since left the famous old ground.
Bournemouth will fancy their chances of taking something back to the south coast with them and they look a decent price to do just that.
Best betting offers for Manchester United vs Bournemouth
- Both sides have been in good form in the Premier League, Man Utd winning six of their last eight and Bournemouth victorious in four of their last six.
- Marcus Rashford has scored in four of his last five games against Bournemouth, including his last three at Old Trafford.
- Only six players have scored more Premier League goals this season than Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and none of them will be on the pitch on Saturday.
- Scott McTominay has scored six goals in his last 11 appearances for Manchester United.
- The fitness of Mason Mount and Rafael Varane will be assessed ahead of this one. For the visitors, Marcus Tavernier and Philip Billing will aim to force their way into the starting XI after substitute appearances in midweek.
Manchester United vs Bournemouth best bets
Find our best bets for the Manchester United vs Bournemouth game below. Odds for the bets are provided by the best sportsbooks per our expert reviews. Odds in the bettings tips are subject to change.
Scott McTominay 2+ shots (Spreadex)
McTominay is offering as big a goal threat as almost anyone in the United team at present with two more goals delivered in midweek.
He’s become a key man again in the Red Devils’ midfield and has regularly landed the 2+ shots bet – it’s now paid out in seven of his last 11 appearances, including all five at Old Trafford.
McTominay was responsible for seven of United’s 28 shots against Chelsea on Wednesday and should be able to notch up at least two more against a defence which is the fourth-worst at denying the opposition shots.
⚽ Back McTominay 2+ shots at 5/6 at Spreadex ⚽
Dominic Solanke anytime scorer (bet365)
No other player on the pitch at Old Trafford will have scored as many Premier League goals this season as Solanke, who has already notched up seven.
United’s defence has been a concern all season with their expected goals against (xGA) figure up at 27.52 – considerably higher than the number of goals they’ve actually conceded (18).
In short, Solanke should get chances here and, as Bournemouth’s leading scorer by a distance, he looks a decent price to find the net.
⚽ Bet on Solanke to score at any time at 11/4 at bet365 ⚽
Draw/Bournemouth double chance (Sky Bet)
United may have won six of eight in the league but it remains hard to be convinced by their performances.
They are giving up too many chances and have a goalkeeper low on confidence, while up front they lack an out-and-out goalscorer.
Bournemouth have won four of their last six in the league, losing only to Manchester City in that spell, and look capable of avoiding defeat on their long trip north.
⚽ Back Draw/Bournemouth double chance at 6/4 at Sky Bet ⚽
