MEMBERS of the Anderson clan and viewers were shocked when Victor passed away earlier this year.
However, one Emmerdale resident may help bring a fresh start to the family as love begins to bloom next week.
Christmas is fast approaching in the eponymous ITV village and residents are all preparing to celebrate with their respective families and loved ones.
However, conflict is shaking the Anderson household as village vicar Charles (played by Kevin Mathurin) argues back and forth with his old-school mother Claudette (Flo Wilson) about how they should welcome Christmas in the Dales.
Claudette has opposing views with councillor Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and the pair continually bicker about the upcoming Christmas fair.
But next week, Charles finally manages to convince Nicola and his mother to co-organise the event together.
Unfortunately, Clipboard-wielding Claudette is no match for fired-up Nicola.
How will they pull it off AND get along at the same time?
Will they ever find something to agree on?
Meanwhile, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) has clocked Bear Wolf’s (Joshua Richards) burgeoning attraction to Claudette.

The timing may not be right for a new love interest in Claudette's life as she may still be grieving for her late husband Victor.
Viewers will remember that Victor rocked up the village earlier this year after being released from prison.
The character was hopeful to mend his broken relationship with his family, despite his own son Charles standing firmly against him approaching any of his loved ones.
Soon, Victor was welcomed into the village by Naomi Walters, his long-lost granddaughter and Charles was left seething, unable to forgive his father for his past transgressions and crimes.
Charles was convinced Victor would go back to his old schemes and cause trouble for the family.

But he was particularly angry when he spotted Claudette being willing to forgive Victor's behaviour and start afresh.
Charles decided to take action against Victor by framing him for the theft of a necklace that once belonged to the late Rishi Sharma.
Victor escaped the family home when he was accused of thieving and he was desperate to avoid going back to prison.
Sadly, when Charles eventually found him in St Mary's Church, Victor had succumbed to a brain aneurysm.
