Aussie soap bosses have spoken out about Nell Rebecchi and Hugo Somers’ shocking recasting ahead of Neighbours' highly anticipated comeback.
As excitement mounts for the eagerly awaited return of the iconic Australian soap opera, fans can expect to see some new faces in familiar roles.
But despite the return of many cast members for the soap's revival on Amazon Freevee, the show's creators have seized the chance to reassign the roles of Toadie's offspring.

In a recent Instagram post from the official Neighbours account, the curtain is lifted on the new actors who will portray Nell and Hugo.
The snapshot captures them alongside the beloved Toadie actor, Ryan Moloney, with the accompanying caption hinting at the dramatic changes ahead: "With the forthcoming release of new #Neighbours episodes, we find our beloved Nelly and Hugo all grown up."
The reveal introduces viewers to the talented Ayisha Salem-Towner and Tanner Ellis-Anderson.
The Neighbours team is confident that audiences will quickly fall for their captivating performances, gushing: "Introducing the remarkable Ayisha Salem-Towner & Tanner Ellis-Anderson, whom we are confident you'll adore within just a fortnight!"
Nell and Hugo aren't the sole characters undergoing a transformation, as the show's creators have cast former Big Brother Australia contestant, Xavier Molyneux, to take on the role of Byron Stone, formerly played by Joe Klocek.
This casting change sets the stage for a compelling storyline centered around Byron's romantic entanglement with a new character portrayed by The OC star, Mischa Barton.
Excitement over this development was palpable, as the show exclaimed: "We're thrilled to announce Xavier Molyneux as our new Byron Stone, son of Jane Harris, who will soon find himself embroiled in the captivating drama of Ramsay Street upon Neighbours' return this September."

Adding to the intrigue, a budding romance between Haz Devkar and Mackenzie Hargreaves will grace the screen, while the recently rekindled relationship of Jane Harris and Mike Young may face turbulent waters in the forthcoming episodes.
The return of Guy Pearce to the show, albeit for a brief stint, hints at potentially stormy developments.
As fans eagerly mark their calendars, Neighbours is slated to make its comeback on September 18.
The series will release new episodes, streaming free of charge, from Monday to Thursday on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US, while Network 10 will maintain first-run rights for Australian audiences.
