Im A Celebrity boycott launched by over 1,000 angry remoaners over Nigel Farage

Nigel Farage is first to land in Australia for I’m a Celeb

TV duo Ant McParlin and Declan have been flooded with thousands of complaints from remoaners as ITV confirmed that Nigel Farage is going on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this year.

More than 1000 people have sent written complaints to the famous hosts after it was reported ITV paid Farage £1.5m to feature in the show.

Best for Britain has launched a new campaign urging the public to pledge to boycott the show, which airs launches on Sunday.

Since its launch, the campaign has prompted more than 1000 people to complain to ITV about platforming Nigel.

Farage is a British broadcaster on GB News and a former politician who used to be the leader of the UKIP Party.

Naomi Smith, CEO of Best for Britain, said: “While the thought of Farage mingling with other creepy-crawlies may seem appropriate, anything that normalises or amplifies his toxic views must be opposed.

“After a weekend that saw police injured at the hands of a far-right mob, and after years of his politics poisoning our society, we want the public to send a clear message to Ant and Dec, ITV and the media at large, that giving a divisive populist like Farage a nightly primetime platform is not good for our country.”

Farage will be entering the Australian jungle alongside other famous faces such as This Morning’s Josie Gibson, JLS star Marvin Humes and singer Jamie-Lynn Spears.

Speaking about his stint in the jungle, Nigel said: “Given millions hate me, I do expect people will vote for me to do trials!”

He added: “And the idea that somehow the things I represent – mean-spirited, small-minded, nasty, the ‘little Englander’ – all those accusations that have been flung at me over the years just aren’t true.

“If we can dispel some of those misconceptions, then that will be a good thing too.”
