Tory MP Lee Anderson has been accused of ‘bullying’ after an appalling comment he posted about Carol Vorderman.
The GB News presenter is facing intense backlash after he appeared to ridicule the Countdown star on X, formerly known as Twitter.
This comes after GB News has faced its own misogyny crisis when Laurence Fox made a series of remarks about female reporter Ava Evans, known as Ava Santina on X, formerly Twitter, including asking: ‘Who would want to shag that?’
Fox has since been suspended, as has Dan Wootton, whose show the vile comments were made on, and a third presenter, Calvin Robinson, for supporting Wootton.
But Anderson doesn’t seem phased by the chaos at the broadcaster, as he’s made his own controversial comments now.
Vorderman, 62, criticised Anderson’s interview with Suella Braverman on GB News, writing on X: ‘Tory Lee Anderson (paid £100k by GB News) “interviewed” Tory Braverman, failing to challenge her on a single point. He says she was “nailing it”.

‘GB News did their best to dress up the rest of the programme as debate which may be enough for @ofcom not to consider a breach. Who knows?
‘Meanwhile GB News -has suspended 3 presenters in 2 days -has an investigation of its own into Wootton/Fox broadcast – and Ofcom admits it has 12 ongoing investigations Into the channel. Rocky days.’
Replying to Vorderman, Anderson wrote: ‘The sooner we ban single plastics the better.’
It appears he was referring to Vorderman’s marital status and her appearance, and his comment has been blasted.
‘Lee, I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but there’s been a bit of fuss about boorish misogyny among GB News presenters this week,’ one person said.
Another wrote: ‘Now it makes sense why you continue to appear on a channel that is embroiled in misogyny. Because you’re a misogynist oath who can’t stand strong women.’
‘Picking on a woman’s appearance. How cowardly,’ someone else said.
‘More misogyny from GB News, really becoming your thing,’ a fourth penned.
