For the last two decades, Japanese designers Daisuke Yokoyama and Katsuki Araki have diligently worked to build the distinct design language at their label Sasquatchfabrix. After dropping a third apparel collaboration with NEEDLES in October, the designers have now returned with the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, titled “Harvest Time.”
The line offers an abundance of contemporary takes on traditional Japanese garments, spanning design categories from formalwear and sportswear to workwear and casualwear. In typical Sasquatch fashion, bold patterns appear across the range, with adventurous tailoring that oftentimes favors a loose fit. The color story is just as exploratory, with saturated and bright tones contrasting muted neutrals.
A vivid red blazer meets straight trousers in an identical tone, while denim, in varying shades of blue, comprises utilitarian trousers, roomy overalls and knee-length shorts alike. Classic stripes run down the legs of multi-toned pants, which frequently find themselves paired with layered knits and sporty coats. Overall, the brand expertly melds relaxed silhouettes with more-poised designs, crafting its own unique dress code that becomes adaptable across occasions.
Sasquatchfabrix.’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection will begin to roll out on December 23 in Japan and via the brand’s webstore. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.
