An old interview in which Russell Brand requested for Caprice Bourret to ‘take off’ her underwear has resurfaced days after he was accused of rape, sexual assault, and controlling behaviour.
Over the weekend the Get Him to the Greek actor, 48, was accused by four women following an investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches and The Times.
Brand has called the allegations false and labelled them a ‘coordinated attack’ by the mainstream media to try and ‘control’ his voice.
But in the days following the explosive reports, old clips showing him engaging in uncomfortable interactions with female journalists, presenters and comedians have emerged, including an interview he did with Caprice on MTV.
The interview saw the businesswoman, singer, model, actress, and TV personality speak about what projects she was working on, with Brand then turning the conversation to her successful intimates line.
After Caprice spoke about the brand, Brand then asked an unusual question about whether she’d ever shut down her business if someone was to accidently hang themselves with one of her bras.
Looking quite confused, Caprice laughed awkwardly before Brand continued with his strange line of questioning.
‘Caprice, are you wearing one of your own bras…I mean are you wearing a bra designed by you now?’ he asked.
‘No but I’m wearing my knickers,’ she replied before he quipped: ‘Get them off.’
Going along with the joke, Caprice then stood up and said ‘ok then’ before sitting back down as Brand replied: ‘There won’t be a point where I’ll say, oh don’t.’
‘There will be a point where I will go “go on then”,’ he said before pretending to masturbate.
He then pretended to spit on himself, at which point Caprice started squealing.
‘Everybody does it, don’t be afraid of your own sexuality,’ he added.
‘Be afraid of mine though.’
He then turned his attention to the audience, asserting that many of them had likely engaged in a little self-pleasure in the past 24 hours, which Caprice seemed very taken aback by.

This week other clips concerning Brand’s behaviour have re-emerged, with one showing Kelly Brook warning a presenter to stay away from the comedian after he joked about pictures of the model as a teenager.
In 2006 Brand had told Kelly to send photos of herself as a teenager to him.
Eight years after the interview, she was being interviewed by budding MTV presenter Becca Dudley, who asked the model for ‘tips’ on working in the industry.
‘Stay away from Russell Brand! No, he was a bit later than me,’ she replied, before adding to ‘have fun, make the most of the freebies and to go to all the festivals’, but to ‘stay away from rock stars’.
