Kali Uchis just wrapped the second leg of her Red Moon In Venus tour – a sold-out tour to which Uchis actually had to add more dates as a “Part II” – but she’s already focused on her next move, which comes in the form of a long-form release. Entitled Orquídeas, Uchis took to her Instagram page earlier today to unveil the album’s otherworldly cover art and release date.
The reveal of Orquídeas comes as a surprise, though it’s not completely out of the blue. The ethereal songstress teased the album announcement earlier this week, unveiling a brief preview on Instagram. “a despertarse k YA SE VIENE…”, she captioned the post, which translates to “to wake up, it’s coming…”

Uchis’ comment section was home to a slew of stoked musicians, including Omar Apollo (“AMIGAAA AMOOOO”) and Don Toliver (“It’s Time”). Orquídeas is scheduled to hit streaming on January 12, 2024. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on the tracklist as they transpire.
