In the world of watches, Audemars Piguet remains a household name known for its signature octagonal timepieces and attention to pure luxury. Even though the Swiss watchmaker has been around since 1875, it has still managed to grab hold of contemporary style notes, which its lineup of collaborations has complimented. For its latest, the brand has enlisted the help of Travis Scott for a special edition Royal Oak watch and merchandise line.
The new collaboration is set to see a new ceramic edition of the signature Royal Oak timepiece, which will be the collection’s focal point. Aside from the watch, the merchandise line is set to feature an array of hoodies, jackets, tees pajamas, shorts and caps. While the watch will be sold through Audemars Piguet, the merchandise pieces will be sold through Scott’s Cactus Jack.
“People will go nuts when they know that AP and Travis have made merch together,” Audemars Piguet’s chief executive François-Henri Bennahmias told The Business of Fashion. “It breaks pretty much every code. Is it going to be successful? We could have multiplied the quantity by at least 10 times and still been successful.”
The limited-edition Royal Oak is set to include special symbols from the Cactus Jack label. The timepiece and merchandise are set to be revealed on Friday, December 1.
