In the early 2000s, Brand made a career for himself on the comedy circuit, performing multiple times at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He set off on a UK-nationwide tour in 2006 and has performed in front of the Royal Family at charity events.
On top of this, Comedy Central aired the stand-up special “Russell Brand in New York” back in 2009.

Alongside his role as a stand-up performer, Brand was known in the UK as a popular television personality before moving to Tinseltown.
The comic actor started out as the host of Big Brother’s Big Mouth in 2004 and followed that up with multiple hosting gigs, including the MTV Movie Awards
His first big movie role was in 2011’s St. Trinians before he took on his most well-known role as Aldous Snow in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek.
Brand’s last major movie roles have included appearances in Kenneth Branaggh’s Death on the Nile and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Real estate
Outside his illustrious Hollywood career, the actor also has purchased a great deal of property over the years which has bolstered his net worth.
Mr. Brand bought a £2,621,500 home in Los Angeles, reportedly a Christmas gift for his then-girlfriend and now-ex-wife Katy Perry.
