James Jordan fears Strictly star will go home as he talks show exit

Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan is worried that Zara McDermott could “go home” despite having improved “so much” during the competition.

The Love Island star and her partner Graziano Di Prima failed to impress the judges with their Halloween-themed Charleston on Saturday evening, earning just 25 points.

Their spooky showcase sees them at the bottom of the Strictly leaderboard for week six and sitting just two points below ninth place Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

Ahead of the 26-year-old’s latest performance, James, 45, took to social media to air his thoughts on Saturday night.

Posting to his 358,300 X followers the ballroom dancer wrote: “Zara also needs a good dance this week otherwise I fear she will go home.”

After their dance to Jeepers Creepers by Al Donahue and his Orchestra, he took to social media again and commented: “Zara. I have mixed feelings about this one.

“She’s improved so much and that was such a clean routine and lots of content BUT I was a little bored – the music didn’t help them AT ALL.

“I worry for them this week – but let’s not forget she’s never danced before. Well done,” he added before rating the pair a six out of ten score.

In a further update, the 45-year-old said: “Glad Zara has enjoyed this week as I feel she will be going home unless you guys vote for her.

“If she does – she’s done herself proud and one of the most improved.”

Following his trio of tweets, fans have also been commenting on the model’s latest Strictly routine.

“I love Zara she is so nice and done really well as a non dancer James but unfortunately I think she will go this week shame,” wrote one X user.

A second agreed and wrote: “I think she as a non dancer continues to improve a little each week. I quite liked it but loved her effort.”

“That’s spot on James as she is so much better but just seems like she’s worried about going wrong and needs to just let go, but she’s a novice and that needs to be applauded as no dance or ‘stage’ experience,” replied another.

A fourth commented: “On that dance (sic) probably yes she is the weakest of who’s left.”

The Strictly Come Dancing results show will air tonight which is set to open with an Addams Family inspired routine from the professionals.

Tune in on Sunday from 7.20pm on BBC One.
