Emmerdales Matthew Wolfenden packs on PDA with new love interest after Charley Webb split

Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has been spotted packing on the PDA with his rumoured new love interest less than a month after confirming his split from wife Charley Webb.

Matthew and Charley, who played Debbie Dingle in the soap, were married for five years, but he is now reportedly seeing professional dancer and personal trainer Heather Scott-Martin.

The soap star, 43, appeared to enjoy a date in London with his rumoured new beau earlier this week as the pair were snapped cosying together in December's cold weather.

One new snap showed the couple holding hands while another later showed the pair locking lips in a quick embrace.

Matthew is said to be dating Heather, who is also starring in Elf the musical. The pair have reportedly been enjoying 'secret dates' as this isn't the first time they've been snapped together looking cosy.

Matthew's new beau is currently in the Swing / Dance Captain in the West End musical, with Matthew also starring in the production as Buddy. The new couple looked happy as they walked hand in hand.

When the pair were previously spotted, a source told The Sun that they looked like 'honeymooners' or 'loved-up teenagers', but added that Heather was 'wary' about getting involved with Matthew too soon.

The source told the publication: “She was trying not to be seen with him, standing away from the stage door when he emerged from show rehearsals and shows. But now the cat is out of the bag.

“Heather is a clean cut, popular woman who was desperate not to be painted as Matthew’s ‘other woman’. She’s not happy about being thrust into the conversation of his celebrity marriage breakdown.”

On Wednesday, 22 November, both Charley and Matthew released a statement on their social media accounts, confirming that they had split, but vowed to “remain friends.”

Charley, 35, told her followers: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time."

Matthew also shared the same statement, but from his perspective on his social media. He signed it off with "M".

The couple met on the set of Emmerdale and began dating in 2007 before revealing they were expecting their first child in 2009. The pair share three children together Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four.
