The Masked Singer UK: Bagpipes performs and gives clue

Comedian Mo Gilligan has been dealt a double blow after two of his television presenting gigs were cancelled in the same week. The BBC has announced that his music-themed show That’s My Jam won’t be back.

This news comes just days after the 35-year-old comedian revealed just days ago that his Channel 4 programme The Lateish Show would not be returning after four series.

That’s My Jam has now been given the chop by the broadcaster after one series has only had one series. The BBC told Express.co.uk: “Sometimes difficult decisions have to be made, so whilst there will not be another series of That’s My Jam, we would like to extend our thanks to Mo Gilligan and the teams at Universal International Studios’ Monkey and Universal Television Alternative Studio for bringing the series to audiences in the UK.”

Mo was hand-picked for That’s My Jam by American comedian and television host Jimmy Fallon. The show was based on the music-themed segments of his legendary vehicle The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Mo recently announced that he was stepping down from his role as host of the BRIT Awards due to touring commitments next year. This means he now only has one TV gig as a panellist on The Masked Singer.

Previously, Mo took to Instagram to issue an emotional statement to his 981,000 followers about the end of The Lateish Show.

Revealing that the Christmas episode on December 20 will be the last he wrote: “I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of this show. It genuinely changed my life and has created an industry-wide impact.

“It’s won numerous awards and achieved even more nominations, but it’s the army of people behind the scenes that made it happen who are so important. There are so many moments that I’ll always look back on with so much happiness.”
