Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Gina says she\u2019d make the \u2018perfect President\u2019<\/h3>\n

On Monday, it was revealed that the star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Andre Braugher, had tragically died at 61.<\/p>\n

Although a cause of death had yet to be revealed, The Hollywood Reporter has reported the Emmy Award-winning actor was diagnosed with lung cancer just months before his passing.<\/p>\n

While he rose to prominence on shows such as Homicide: Life on the Street and HBO\u2019s Men of a Certain Age, Andre became a household name on the hit Netflix comedy series.<\/p>\n

There he starred in the beloved procedural as Captain Raymond Holt and was featured in every one of the 153 episodes.<\/p>\n

After Andre\u2019s publicist Jennifer Allen, confirmed the news of his death to Variety, tributes poured in from his famous Hollywood friends and fans worldwide.<\/p>\n

His Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Terry Crews, shared: \u201cCan’t believe you’re gone so soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m honoured to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts. You left us too soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you. Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeepest condolences to your wife and family in this difficult time. You showed me what a life well lived looks like.<\/p>\n

  Reflecting on their friendship. Terry continued: \u201cI will remember the deep love and loyalty you had for your family. I will remember it every time I ask work to make time for me to be with my family.<\/p>\n

  \u201cI will remember how you sent me pictures of Fall trees in NJ because you knew how much I missed that time of year back east. I will remember you calling me Melly Fume.<\/p>\n

  \u201cI will remember so much. I really thought I’d see you again,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

  Before his death and diagnosis, Andre revealed that he spent more time focusing on his family than his career, but he didn’t regret it.<\/p>\n

  In 2020, he told Variety: \u201cIt’s been an interesting career, but I think it could have been larger. I think it could have spanned more disciplines: directing, producing, all these other different things. But it would have been at the expense of my own life.\u201d<\/p>\n
