The Duchess of Sussex supported her friend Misan Harriman at an event marking his first feature film last month, a newly-surfaced photo shows.<\/p>\n
Meghan, 42, attended a Netflix tastemaker event with her professional photographer-turned-filmmaker pal Misan, in Montecito, California, on November 15.<\/p>\n
The Netflix event, celebrating his film The After, appeared to involve a discussion between the Duchess, Misan, and actor David Oyelowo.<\/p>\n
Meghan opted for her favourite power dressing colour, tan, as she took part in the talk – and looked elegant as ever.<\/p>\n
She appeared to be wearing a structured blazer from\u00a0Valentino Garavani’s spring\/summer 2022 collection, paired with a knitted brown turtleneck top and a satin skirt of the same shade.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex opted for her favourite power-dressing shade of tan\/camel tones as she attended a Netflix event celebrating her friend Misan Harriman’s film The After last month<\/p>\n
The Duchess also wore black pumps from Giorgio Armani, and sported her\u00a0$2,673 Logan Hollowell constellation ring for Leo – which is her zodiac sign.<\/p>\n
Meghan’s sleek monochrome outfit was another example of her favourite power-dressing shade – as she has worn several tan and camel outfits to make major statements over the years.<\/p>\n
The Duchess rolled out a stunning\u00a0monochrome ensemble at the Invictus Games in September, donning \u00a31200 wide-leg silk trousers from Gabriel Hearst paired with a \u00a3365 Dani Blouse, to meet with NATO leaders in Dusseldorf ahead of a day of spectating.<\/p>\n

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised fans in August with a video in which they call young inspirational people to congratulate them on their work – and Meghan opted for a sleek tan dress<\/p>\n
In January 2020, Meghan sported a stunning jumper and skirt combo, paired with suede pumps and a tailored coat, all in different shades of camel, copper and tan.<\/p>\n
She wore a \u00a3345 coat from Reiss with a \u00a350 polo neck and \u00a385 skirt from Massimo Dutti for her appearance in London.<\/p>\n
At the time, stylist Lucas Armitage told FEMAIL that her choice of colour was a ‘power dressing move’ – because just hours after the appearance, she and Pricne Harry announced they were stepping down as senior royals and moving to the US.<\/p>\n
He said: ‘Meghan is using traditional power dressing pieces to assert an authority and grounding them in relaxed colours to show a level of calm.’<\/p>\n
The look was remarkably similar to one she wore the previous October, when the Duchess stepped out in \u00a395 trench coat dress from Banana Republic for a morning meeting at the University of Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
It was later that day that Prince Harry launched an attack on the on the British media as he accused the press of ‘bullying’ and ‘relentless propaganda’.<\/p>\n
Royal reporter Elizabeth Holmes speculated about the shift on her own Instagram page, writing: ‘It’s the ultimate dressing-for-the-slideshow moment.’<\/p>\n
And stylist Lucas revealed the sartorial choice was likely intentional, saying: ‘The camel coat is a similar sartorial choice she has made time and time again before breaking controversial news.’<\/p>\n
He went on to explain that even the tones of brown may have been an important choice for the royal.<\/p>\n
He said: ‘Camel is neutral tone and often seen as a calming and pure tone.<\/p>\n
‘As a stylist, camel seems like a great colour tone to employ as it\u2019s less serious and somber then most hues and isn\u2019t too attention grabbing like bolder colour choices.’<\/p>\n
In August, the Duke and Duchess surprised fans with a video in which they surprised young future leaders in the US with phone calls. Sitting together in a love seat in the sun-steeped garden of their Montecito home, the couple were filmed as they made congratulatory phone calls to the winners of their new safer technology grant.<\/p>\n
In the video, the Duchess stunned in a structured tan outfit with a high, ruched neckline and sharp tailored lines. She opted for a camel $162 tube skirt with matching sleeveless $189 top from Malibu brand Bleusalt.<\/p>\n
And it could be determined that Meghan was once again making a statement with her stunning outfit, as it was the first time the couple had been seen amid mounting speculation about their future in Hollywood and rumoured strains behind the scenes.<\/p>\n
By appearing in the video, beamed as they discussed a subject they are passionate about – putting to bed any rumours of trouble.<\/p>\n
