An influencer who has Down’s syndrome – with 2.8 million Instagram and TikTok followers – has been diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n
Paula Cisneros, from Extremadura region, Spain, had been absent from social media for a few days, worrying her huge fan base.<\/p>\n
The silence was broken on 1 November when her older sister, Sara Cisneros\u00a0posted a video of herself visiting her in hospital.<\/p>\n
Fellow influencer Sara – who has 2.2 million Instagram and TikTok herself – said: ‘Did someone order a dose of sisterhood?<\/p>\n

Sarcomas are uncommon types of cancer which can grow anywhere in the body \u2013 on muscle, bone, tendons, blood vessels and fatty tissue.<\/p>\n
Bone sarcomas are rare and affect approximately 670 people per year \u2013 but there are other types of bone cancers.<\/p>\n
There are around 100 different types of sarcomas and about 5,300 people are year are diagnosed with them in the UK.<\/p>\n
Sarcomas can be treated well if people catch them early, but many people do not get diagnosed until their tumours are about the size of a tin of beans.<\/p>\n
Only slightly more than half of people with sarcomas (55 per cent) survive for five years or more after their diagnosis.<\/p>\n
Symptoms of sarcomas can include bone pain, swellings or lumps, and restricted movement if it is growing near a joint.<\/p>\n
Treatment may involve typical cancer therapies such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
