A man has been injured in what police believe was a targeted early morning shooting at a strip club in Melbourne\u2019s CBD.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to The Men\u2019s Gallery on Lonsdale Street, near the intersection of King Street, in the city just after 4am.<\/p>\n
The victim, thought to be in his late teens or early 20s, was found on the road. Police were told a suspected gunshot had been heard.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police Inspector Chris Murray said an altercation broke out inside the venue before a single gunshot was fired, injuring a patron. The gunman then fled the scene in a vehicle.<\/p>\n
\u201cAny firearm incident inside a venue is a concern, but we have the best in the business on the case \u2026 I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll have an arrest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The injured man was taken to hospital, where he is refusing to provide information to detectives about the incident.<\/p>\n
