Based out of Los Angeles, post-punk band Provoker has continued to make noise in 2023 as they released their second album, Demon Compass, in mid October via the tastemaker label YEAR0001. To support the release, a total of four music videos have been released, with “Freezing Alive” releasing this week as the final visual tied to the project.

The melancholic track features Filipino artist Eyedress, who has worked previously with the band on songs such as “Mystery Key,” creating his own remix of the song. For the “Freezing Alive” video, a dramatic breakup over the phone cues up the track as vocalist Christian Petty drinks away at his heartbreak, downing margaritas to the point of becoming physically numb. Taking in the chilling reality, the smooth tempo is embraced with a verse from Eyedress, who also appears in the music video.

Check out the music video for Provoker’s “Freezing Alive” above.
