<\/p>\nPeter Kay is returning to the spotlight with his own Christmas radio show. <\/p>\n
The comedy legend, 50, has recorded a tell-all interview with Steve Wright, 69, for an hour-long special on Radio 2. Fans will get to hear him talk about his childhood and his career and there will be anecdotes about hilarious moments he\u2019s had with stars including Sir Paul McCartney, 81, and Sir Michael Caine, 90.<\/p>\n
It will also feature some of his favourite songs and TV theme tunes. Peter is promising fans it will be an early Christmas present because it\u2019ll be packed with festive cheer.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWhat an early festive treat it was for me to chat to broadcasting legend Steve Wright. \u201cI thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope everybody else does too. Feliz Navidad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Host Steve said: \u201cI am Peter\u2019s biggest fan and I\u2019m also pleased to call him my friend so please tune in for this very special radio programme.\u201d The special will air on Sunday at 10am as part of Radio 2\u2019s Superstar Sunday.<\/p>\n
Peter is currently touring the UK with his new stand-up show Better Late Than Never with more than 120 dates due to demand from fans. But he has only made a handful of TV appearances in recent years.<\/p>\n

Peter also recently opened up about the time he met George Best – though he looked very unwell during a talk show appearance before he passed. The star said: \u201cNow, George Best was a legend, everybody knows that. He\u2019s even got an airport named after him. At the time he\u2019d been back in the media due to his ongoing battle with alcoholism and had just received a controversial liver transplant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked that he was well enough to come to the studio, but he did. John and I finished our interview and then he told the audience that, regrettably, Eamonn Holmes had had to pull out at the last minute, but he had a replacement: \u2018Ladies and gentlemen, George Best.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, the place just erupted. The whole audience immediately stood to its feet at the very mention of his name. I\u2019ve never experienced such a reaction. As soon as he walked on set you could feel the love for him. It was palpable. He didn\u2019t look too great as he walked down the studio steps. He actually looked nervous."<\/p>\n
