<\/p>\nEmmerdale producer Laura Shaw has shared with Express.co.uk and other media what’s in store for the Yorkshire-based soap in the New Year, warning tragedy will strike after Christmas.<\/p>\n
She teased: “There’s going to be a tragedy in the village in January that’s going to affect two of our most-loved families.<\/p>\n
“It’s ultimately going to tear friendships apart and change the dynamics of one of those families forever.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Moira Barton (played by Natalie J Robb) is set to reveal a dark secret from her past to a villager.<\/p>\n
“Moira’s going to make a big confession to one of our villagers,” Laura said. “It’s a secret from her past that she’s going to reveal.<\/p>\n
