Creators Chris Black and Matt Fraction spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about their experience filming around Mount Breakenridge, British Columbia for parts of the series coming up over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

We logged a lot of miles.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s part of the fun of it,\u201d Black chimed in. \u201cIt gives it an authenticity, a texture and a grit. We wanted to create a world.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of credit goes to our incredible line producer, Brad Van Arragon, in Canada.<\/p>\n \u201cGoing up to the glacier, when we were trying to figure out how to shoot that episode, how to simulate the Alaskan tundra on a stage with blue screens\u2026<\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> <\/p>\n \u201cIt was Brad who said, \u2018You know, it\u2019s actually going to be cheaper to put them on a helicopter and fly them to a glacier\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs Kurt would say, he\u2019s been running from tennis balls on sticks for a long time,\u201d Fraction said of the show\u2019s experienced lead star.<\/p>\n \u201cHe had that familiarity – the guy grew up on camera. He just speaks the language of cinema so innately.<\/p>\n \u201cAt one point he said, \u2018I\u2019ve been out in the middle of the ice while the science guys try to figure out what’s going on. It never goes well!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
