EVERY year I'm A Celebrity hits out TV screens with more antics from the campmates, and gruesome Bushtucker Trials.<\/p>\n

But there can also be only one winner, and some viewers may wonder what the King or Queen of the Jungle gets as a prize.<\/p>\n

What does the winner of I'm A Celebrity get? <\/h2>\n

Every year, I'm A Celebrity sees the campmates undertake extreme living conditions in the Aussie jungle, minimum food rations, and disgusting Bushtucker Trials.<\/p>\n

After being whittled down over a few weeks, only three celebrities get to compete in the final.<\/p>\n

Now you'd think after undergoing such horrible conditions, the winner would get a HUGE prize – but that is not the case.<\/p>\n

The winner gets given a crown and a ceremonial staff,\u00a0and gets to sit on a specially made throne.<\/p>\n

Ant\u00a0said: \u201cIt's slightly different to the show we do in Australia because they go head to head in trials and whoever loses leaves.<\/p>\n

"It\u2019s quite brutal, so that\u2019s how we decided the winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dec\u00a0added: "So, they're competing to become the first ever I'm A Celebrity<\/span> \u2018Legend of the Savanna\u2019… It\u2019s very special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does the winner of I'm a Celebrity get more money? <\/h2>\n

The celebs agree a pay package before they enter the camp which can be anywhere between \u00a330,000 and \u00a3000,000. <\/p>\n

Unlike Strictly where all the stars get the same amount of money to take part, campmates on I'm A Celebrity can demand a fee.<\/p>\n

Olympian Mo Farah was reported to have pocketed a whopping \u00a3300,000 for appearing on the show while professional dancer AJ Pritchard was estimated to have banked a lower fee of \u00a350,000. <\/p>\n

Caitlyn Jenner also reportedly banked \u00a3500,000.<\/p>\n

However, being crowned winner of I'm A Celebrity also brings with it a lot of clout.<\/p>\n

Many of the show's kings and queens have gone onto huge success, which has seen their bank balance increase massively.<\/p>\n

Who was the first winner of I'm a Celebrity?<\/h2>\n

Radio DJ Tony Blackburn won the first series of I'm a Celebrity in 2002. <\/p>\n

He defeated the late socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and author Christine Hamilton<\/span> to pick up the gong of King of the Jungle. <\/p>\n

A firm favourite from the start, Tony and Tara both managed to remain safe from the public vote throughout their two week stay.<\/p>\n

He took part in three trials during his time in the jungle – the Sneaky Snake Run (winning 2\/6 stars), the spider web (winning 3\/4) and the final trial with Tara, which he completed successfully.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
