Josie Gibson has broken her silence as she confirmed she is entering the Australian jungle for the latest series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which returns on Sunday, 19 November.

The 38 year old This Morning presenter made a cheeky quip about the comments that she made when she touched down at Brisbane airport, telling reporters that she was in Australia for a "weight loss retreat" before her appearance on the show was confirmed.

After the line-up was officially made public on Monday, 13 November, Josie took to Instagram to post a snap in her jungle outfit, made up of the recognisable red cargo pants, navy T-shirt and beige shirt that the celebrities wear on the show.

Josie looked stunning in the photo, with a full face of makeup and her blonde hair worn in loose waves, whilst in the caption, she joked that she was going on an 'unconventional diet', with campmates famously having rationed food which mostly consists of rice and beans.

The caption read: "Not the kind of weight loss retreat I was looking for… unconventional diet.

"So excited the news is finally out – I’m heading in to the jungle! Tune into @itv from this Sunday 19th wish me luck! #ImACeleb."

Her celebrity pals were quick to offer their support in the comments, with many predicting that she would win the show.

Alison Hammond, who often presents This Morning alongside Josie, wrote: "Winner," with a trophy emoji.

TV presenter Kate Lawler, who often does features on This Morning, added: "Cancelling all plans to watch you. JOSIE FOR QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE."

Dermot O'Leary, also a part of the This Morning team, wrote: "There she is! You’ll smash it. Good luck xx," whilst his and Josie's colleague, Craig Doyle, said: "Our Queen."

Another member of the TV family, Clodagh McKenna commented: "Good luck!!! You are SO brave. We’ll be cheering you on xxx."

Josie will be joined in the jungle by a stellar line-up of celebrities, including former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, First Dates' Fred Sirieix, UK politician Nigel Farage, JLS' Marvin Humes, and even Britney Spears' younger sister, Jamie-Lynn.

YouTuber Nella Rose, food critic Grace Dent, Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, and ex-EastEnders star Danielle Harold will also be on the show.

Former Big Brother winner Josie is the current favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Speaking after her place on the show was confirmed, she said: "I know I have taken on challenges for This Morning in the past but I don’t know if I’ve taken on too much here. It’s all becoming very real.

"I am dreading the insects and it’s my biggest phobia. I also don’t like spiders and I freeze normally when I see one. My family thinks I am mad doing the programme too as they know what I’m like with creepy crawlies!"

Josie recently confessed that she was "emotional" after saying goodbye to her five year old son, Reggie, before she jetted off to Australia.
