The 38-year-old recently shocked fans by performing with a spider sitting on her lips during the music video for The Veronicas’ latest single Perfect.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Posting to Instagram on Saturday, the singer uploaded a behind-the-scenes clip showing the moment a wildlife handler placed the insect – which she lovingly named ‘Hunter’ – onto her face.<\/p>\n
‘Never thought I would fall in love with a spider – I was straight up arachnophobic before this!!’ the Queensland-born songstress wrote in her caption.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The hitmaker thanked the wildlife handler for teaching her about spiders, before sharing some interesting facts with her fans.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Huntsman spiders are considered quite a social species and their speed allows them to chase down and hunt a whole variety of prey! Despite this, they are quite reluctant to bite humans, and will usually try to run away rather than be aggressive,’ she wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n
