A quaint seaside property dubbed Boatman’s Cottage certainly lives up to its name as it can only be accessed by car when the tide is out.

The stunning two-bedroom hideaway located on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales offers upmost privacy with mesmerising ocean views, though it may also feel quite isolating.

The property, also known as Ty Maen, hit the market with an asking price of £620,000 and has been owned by the same people for the last 40 years.

Inside awaits spacious open-plan living room with French doors leading to a paved terrace that’s perfect for dining outdoors or sunbathing.

The grey slate roof is accented by a blue front door and shutters, giving off a relaxed holiday feel.

The Rhoscolyn area is described as ‘particularly attractive with a horseshoe sandy beach between headlands studded with pretty cottage’.

Concerns were raised on Reddit regarding the tide issue, with one person writing: ‘Imagine turning up for the let, tired and drained due to a late flight or train only to find that the tide has come in’

There is a regular high speed rail service from Holyhead to London Euston taking three hours and 39 minutes and Liverpool airport is 103 miles away.

Though many on Reddit had something to say about the property.

‘Or that Tesco/Amazon/DPD etc are late with the delivery and so can’t deliver today and have nowhere to put the ‘Whilst you were out’ card.’

Another said: That price is insane but it is on one of the most popular beaches on the island.

‘Stunning beach with a town catering to wealthy tourists. It’s ideal as a holiday let. And the tidal info won’t put tourists off because of the location.’

Another added: ‘It’s attractive enough, but that price is INSANE.

‘Plus there’s no way I’m going to believe that this is safe and dry when there is a major sea storm. That’s a sea wall that it’s on, for Pete’s sake.’

But one replied: ‘Honestly don’t get the negative comments here. The location, view and beauty of the house makes this a gem of a property.’
