<\/p>\nKerry Katona has recalled the touching moment Victoria Beckham reached out to her during her very public marriage breakdown.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer tied the knot with Westlife star Brian McFadden back in 2002. But by 2006, the pair's relationship had come to a bitter end.<\/p>\n
After hearing about the Beckhams' new Netflix series and how open the pair have been about their marriage highs and lows, Kerry took the time to reflect on when Victoria reached out to her during her marital issues. Sharing her thoughts in her column for New Magazine, Kerry sang Victoria's praises. <\/p>\n

She said: "I think it\u2019s so great that Victoria and David Beckham are speaking out and giving an insight into their lives with their new Netflix documentary. I\u2019ve not seen it yet, since I\u2019ve been away, but they\u2019re so genuine and it makes people like them more when they\u2019re honest.<\/p>\n

"The show has dug up a lot of the 2003 affair allegations for David, which I know was so tough for them at the time. I'll never forget when Brian left me and there was so much media attention on me and him, it was so awful.<\/p>\n
"Victoria Beckham called from Spain to check on me because she understood how it felt to have all the attention." Kerry then shared that the former Spice Girl sent her a bottle of champagne \u2013 even though they had only met each other once.<\/p>\n
Brian and Kerry were once living the pop star dream as they both dominated the charts in their boy and girl bands. But recently, mother-of-five Kerry revealed more details about her divorce and said Brian went AWOL for three days before they split.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Ellie McKay's podcast, she said: "I remember I was doing a TV show called With a Little Help from My Friends and I was in England. Normally when me and Brian were away from each other we called each other 17 times a day.<\/p>\n
"Three days had gone by and I kept thinking, 'Why's he not answering? I don't understand what's going on'. And he finally phoned me, I said 'I've been dead worried, what's the matter where have you been', and he said 'I want a divorce'."<\/p>\n
