A new Doom game, Ghostwire: Tokyo 2, and a secret new licensed title were all planned at Bethesda before Microsoft bought them.

As if revealing their plans for a new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (and a new controller) weren’t enough, the Federal Trade Commission has also managed to let slip Bethesda’s entire software line-up for the next several years.

Or at least it was their line-up, three years ago, before Microsoft bought them. Things may well have changed since then, so the information could be outdated now, although a lot of it still seems to match up with what is officially known.

There have already been rumours of a remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion but not only is that mentioned in the leaked information but also a remaster of Fallout 3 from 2008 – even if most people would probably rather see Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas get the treatment first.

According to the leaked ‘management forecast’ the Oblivion remaster was originally due out already, sometime before April this year, while the Fallout 3 remaster was planned for the 2024 fiscal year, i.e. sometime before April 2024.

The Oblivion plan has obviously changed but the forecast also mentions a sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo, which is very hard to imagine given how the original performed and how much better received Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush was.

Talk of a Dishonored 3 in 2024 also seems unlikely, since nothing has been heard of it so far, but given the failure of Redfall it’s perhaps possible that developer Arkane is now planning to go back to its roots, with its most acclaimed series.
