GB News presenters Beverley Turner and Andrew Pierce got caught up in a fierce on-air row after she tweeted her support of Russell Brand.<\/p>\n
Andrew blasted his co-star\u2019s tweet as \u2018shameful\u2019 after she called the 48-year-old comedian a \u2018hero\u2019 following his video denying allegations of rape and sexual assaults between 2006 and 2013.<\/p>\n
The allegations were made in a\u00a0Channel 4\u00a0special episode of Dispatches airing in a joint investigation with The Times, and Brand \u2013 who\u00a0denied the \u2018very serious allegations\u2019\u00a0in a video shared on Friday night \u2013 has been accused by multiple women, including one who claimed she was 16 years old at the time.<\/p>\n
On Saturday morning, before the documentary aired, Beverley tweeted that the comedian and actor was being \u2018attacked\u2019 by \u2018establishment media\u2019 and encouraged him to keep going with his YouTube channel which often rails against these outlets.<\/p>\n
During Monday\u2019s GB News show, the pair discussed the post on X (formerly Twitter) as they spoke about the allegations against Brand and Andrew labelled it \u2018shameful\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018You have dismissed in one tweet a four year investigation by The Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4 is contemptuously the mainstream media,\u2019 he argued.<\/p>\n

\u2018Don\u2019t you think before you say someone\u2019s a hero, you should establish whether these very serious allegations are true?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018Before I tweeted that, I had spoken to several sources close to Brand, close to The Times,\u2019 Beverley responded. \u2018I was confident that there is no smoking gun in this regard. I remain confident having watched the Dispatches.\u2019<\/p>\n
She added: \u2018Of course everybody has the right to not be sexually assaulted. Anybody who has been sexually assaulted, my heart goes out to them. This happens every single day.\u2019<\/p>\n
Pierce suggested he did not feel there was \u2018sympathy\u2019 for the four women who have raised these allegations, adding that he was \u2018shocked\u2019 at her statement of support for Brand.<\/p>\n

She wrote at the time: \u2018You are being attacked @rustyrockets. Establishment media don\u2019t know what to do with the fact that you have 6million subscribers & generate autonomous, knowing and original content.<\/p>\n
\u2018You are welcome on my @GBNEWS show anytime. We are mainstream media. But we are not Establishment media. There\u2019s a difference. Keep going. This proves you are winning. You\u2019re a hero.\u2019<\/p>\n
In recent years Brand has seemingly become a prominent conspiracy theorist, using his YouTube channel with more than 6.6 million subscribers to cover topical news stories, including alleged misinformation surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and being an outspoken sceptic of vaccinations.<\/p>\n
During Monday\u2019s broadcast, she insisted Brand is a \u2018threat to all of these newspapers\u2019 and mainstream media, claiming such outlets \u2018gave one side of the pandemic\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s now about covid again,\u2019 Andrew shouted. \u2018This is not about covid, it\u2019s about seriously allegations about a public figure who has been accused by four women\u2026 You\u2019re banging on about Covid. You\u2019re obsessed!\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018The reason he\u2019s a hero to millions of people\u2026 is because of his position on politics in the last three years,\u2019 she replied. \u2018When he was a left wing darling, everybody loved him\u2026 Now, the press hate him, They\u2019ve turned against him.\u2019<\/p>\n
