Susanna Reid reckons she sounds like fellow ITV presenter Holly Willoughby after a recent illness. <\/p>\n
The 52-year-old was off sick from Good Morning Britain following the National Television Awards after she lost her voice. <\/p>\n
Yesterday, Susanna took to social media with a message to her fans, as she said: \u2018Quick update on my voice, which as you can hear is not 100%. I feel absolutely fine but the specialist that I saw on Friday said not to risk it until it is better.\u2019 <\/p>\n
She continued to thank everyone at GMB for stepping in, and for viewers as they sent her \u2018brilliant tips\u2019 for strengthening her vocal cords. <\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve been steaming and also doing ginger and lemon and honey and turmeric tea and drinking tons and tons of water,\u2019 she said. <\/p>\n
Back at work this morning, Susanna reflected how she had \u2018no voice at all\u2019 on Saturday evening \u2013 and she compared her raspy tone to Holly, also saying she sounds like a 20-a-day smoker. <\/p>\n

\u2018You\u2019re back, sounding great,\u2019 said fellow presenter and former politician Ed Balls, 56. <\/p>\n
\u2018Does it sound like I\u2019ve been vaping? It sounds like I smoke 20 a day doesn\u2019t it?\u2019 replied Susanna. <\/p>\n
Ed agreed, before saying it sounds \u2018great\u2019, as Susanna asked whether he meant, \u2018Call line great?\u2019 Err. <\/p>\n
Muffling a laugh, Ed claimed ignorance. \u2018I don\u2019t know what you mean,\u2019 he said. <\/p>\n
\u2018I think I sound a bit like Holly,\u2019 continued Susanna. \u2018You know, she\u2019s got that little catch in her voice which is so appealing.\u2019 <\/p>\n

However, two days ago Susanna suggested she sounded like Holly \u2018with bronchitis\u2019. <\/p>\n
The presenter also reflected how climate change-denying trolls were up in arms after she said the \u2018hot weather\u2019 could have affected her vocal cords. <\/p>\n
But on seeing a specialist, Susanna revealed it could have been caused by not saying hydrated in the heat.<\/p>\n
