ELF the Musical is finally returning to London theatre stages this year.

The hilarious hit musical, which is based on the 2003 Christmas comedy movie Elf, has not been in the UK for seven years, and after its triumphant return to theatres in 2022, it is coming back for its second consecutive year in London.

This week, ELF the Musical announced the first cast members of the show, including the titular hero, Buddy the Elf.

Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has been confirmed as Buddy the Elf, who was originally played by Will Ferrell in the cinematic version of the story. Wolfenden spent nearly two decades in the ITV soap as David Metcalfe.
