This Morning viewers had their minds blown on today’s episode after discovering the creepy child from Netflix’s Haunting Of Bly Manor was also the sweet voice of Peppa Pig.
Amelie Bea Smith shot to fame last year in the smash-hit ghost story, playing young Flora, an orphaned girl who appears to see ghosts around her family’s mansion.
However, things soon escalate as she interacts with them and appears to do their bidding, much to the horror of her nanny.
But appearing on This Morning today, viewers were stunned to find out Amelie had taken over the role of family favourite Peppa Pig last year.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the 10-year-old explained she hasn’t watched the smash hit series because of its horror content
“No, I'm only allowed to see the bits that I'm in, because it's quite scary!” she said, causing Holly to say that she thought she was “very wise”.
Phillip then teased Holly and said: “Holly wouldn't watch that because she was too scared!”
While viewers were charmed by the voice of Peppa Pig, viewers were still trying to get their heads around the idea that Peppa Pig and freaky Flora were one and the same person.
“She was in the haunting of bly manor, I thought I recognised her,” wrote one.
“Oh yeah she’s the little girl in the Haunting of Bly Manor on#netflix !” said another.
A third said: “I didn't watch Bly Manor (despite the Rahul Kohli action) cos it was too scary. I don't have kids, so I don't watch Peppa Pig, either.
“Nevertheless, I still find it amusing that Peppa (voice of) was in fact in Bly Manor. I mean, mental images here!”
While a fourth noted: “So you’re telling me that creepy kid from the haunting of bly manor is the voice of peppa pig…”
Amelia appeared on the show ahead of the release of a Peppa Pig album for the Euros.
She took over the role from Harley Bird, who played Peppa for 13 years before leaving in 2020.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
