Strictly's John Whaite poses in tiny thong as he shows off dramatic tan line after going 'shade darker'

JOHN Whaite stripped down to just a tiny thong to show off his dramatic new tan after going "a shade darker this week".

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who is partnered up with professional ballroom dancer Johannes Radebe, shared the image on his official Instagram account.

John, 32, smirked at the camera as he flexed his muscles in nothing but a tiny black Calvin Klein thong.

Pulling the thong down, John revealed his extremely noticeable tan lines against his pale skin.

Posing next to a tanning tent, the cheeky chap captioned the post: "Gone a shade darker this week. Blame it on the Rumba."

It comes as he will be dancing the Rumba for his performance with Johannes on Saturday night.

John, who rose to fame on The Great British Bake Off, will dance to Sting's Shape Of My Heart.

Johannes and John were thrilled last Saturday night when they scored an impressive 33 points during the Halloween-themed week.

For the spooky week, the pair dressed up as werewolves-themed Quickstep.

The pair are the show's first-ever male duo to take to the dance floor.

They have gone on to become fan favourites with the country rooting for them to take home the trophy.

John's tanned new look comes after he opened about how he suffers from bulimia "every single day".

In an interview with Attitude magazine, said: "I am bulimic… I still struggle with that… I go through moments where it doesn’t affect me. [But] every single day is a battle with an eating disorder because it takes over how you see yourself in the mirror, it takes over how many times you feel you should go to the gym, what you can or can’t eat…"

"I went through a phase of wanting to shrink away, be discreet and small, whereas now I’ve realised I’m six foot two and I’m nearing 16 stone and that’s amazing."

John said he had a new sense of control over his life since accepting his body.

John, who has been baking since he was five, has managed to carve himself out a successful media career.

He appeared as resident chef on ITV’s Lorraine and made guest appearances on What's Cooking, This Morning, Sunday Brunch and Steph's Packed Lunch.

He has also released three cookbooks, John Whaite Bakes, John Whaite Bakes At Home and Perfect Plates In Five Ingredients.
