Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab was grilled by BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay over Boris Johnson’s “Peppa Pig” speech and the Government’s “root-and-branch review” of the parole system during Tuesday’s instalment on the programme. The interview left viewers “cringing” as some took to social media calling for Kay to stop the Tory frontbencher from “waffling on”.

Viewers took to Twitter to hit out over Raab and Kay’s tense exchange on BBC Breakfast.
