Spoilers: Hollyoaks' Sid loses his leg as aftermath of car accident is revealed

Sid Sumner (Billy Price) had to have his leg amputated in Hollyoaks tonight (November 12), after Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) ran over him earlier this week.

Sid was devastated when he discovers that Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) had slept with Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark), and — with cousin Jordan Price (Connor Calland) having disowned him — he turned to drugs.

The young man collapsed in an alleyway after taking ketamine, and recorded a video of himself revealing that he’s got nobody to talk to.

Sid was unable to feel anything as the drugs took hold, and tragedy struck, as an emotional Peri accidentally ran over his leg.

In tonight’s episode, Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) headed to the hospital, and while there, he was informed by Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) that Sid would have to have his leg amputated.

Sid was distraught upon learning such information, and refused to allow the operation to go ahead.

However, Juliet had a word with him, and he ultimately realised that the operation needed to happen.

Afterwards, he woke up and Misbah told him that the procedure had been a success.

As the doctor headed off to get Ste, Sid broke down in tears.
