Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) struggled amid lockdown in Emmerdale, and it came to light that she’s having doubts about her relationship with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
With lockdown having been enforced, Chas struggled to come to terms with the prospect of not opening the pub each and every day.
As the days progressed, her worries were on display all the more, and Paddy soon took note of the fact that not all was as it seemed between he and Chas.
He did whatever he could to prove how much he loved her — not to mention to take her mind of all the stress she was experiencing.
However, in spite of this, conflict continually ensued. Amid all of the conflict, Paddy suggested he’d like another baby — something which left Chas rather shocked.
As the lockdown restrictions were eased, Chas revealed that she didn’t think the time was right for another child and that they should just settle for what they’ve got.
Paddy revealed that living with Chas and Eve is by no means settling, before he headed off to a job.
As the episode came to a close, the vet decorated the pub’s living room with holiday furniture in an effort for he and Chas to experience a second honeymoon.
As they discussed the lockdown period, Paddy revealed that the one good thing to come out of the time spent indoors was that he and Chas were able to mend the little rift between them.
However, Chas didn’t appear all that sure that they’d managed to do that, and the subtext suggested that she wasn’t happy in their relationship.
Could there be more trouble on the horizon for Paddy and Chas?
Is their relationship in danger?
