Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen is being praised on social media for her efforts to help nurse a sickly owl found on her farm.
The shepherdess rose to fame after appearing on the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm with husband Clive.
The story started as she posted a photo of herself holding a baby owl which she captioned: “Not for one minute would we ever intervene but in this case we were advised that it was necessary.”
Commenters were quick to give praise for helping out when needed, telling stories of their own animal rescues in the past.
The next day Amanda posted a video of herself with her children, explaining that it was a tawny owlet and how best to care for the owl as they used a syringe to hydrate the sickly bird.
Along with the video she captioned the post explaining that the vet had told them it was dehydrated, and she then shared information from the barn owl trust she was using to help care for it.
She captioned: “We rehydrated with glucose solution and put back into the barn. A great resource found on the barn owl trust website.”

Comments once again brought praise for Amanda and her children as they smartly cared for the baby and shared the recovery.
The final video so far in the recovery process shows Amanda and her daughters feeding the owl a tiny piece of raw chicken before placing it back where they found it in their barn to allow it to rest and hopefully recover.
She captioned the post: “After taking professional advice this is what we did. Our best.”
The comments once more applauded Amanda and her children, specifically congratulating the children on being well behaved and caring throughout the situation.

Recently Amanda had spoken about her parenting techniques, pushing back against criticism about how they raise their children.
She said: "I can't be a helicopter parent. We read the papers and they show me some of their projects, but I have yet to be at a single parents' evening.
"I did pretty poorly at my exams, but look at what I have achieved since then.”
Amanda is set to return to television on the Channel 5 show Summer on the Farm Live.
