JAMES 'Arg' Argent was left with cuts and bruises after suffering a road accident on his beloved baby blue Vespa.
The 33-year-old star was spotted inspecting his battered moped, which was later deemed to be an insurance write-off.
With the Learner plates still very much in place, Arg was seen stood at the side of the road with his hand on his chin as he inspected the damage.
The former Towie favourite then walked the bike to a nearby garage in East London after the accident, and looked emotional as he appeared to accept the vehicle's fate.
The TV favourite was dressed casually in a dark blue jumper and tracksuit bottoms, adding comfortable trainers for the outing.
He was looking visibly slimmer, having lost four stone in recent months after undergoing life-saving gastric surgery last month.
Arg shocked fans when he admitted he had ballooned to almost 27 stone during lockdown, saying he swapped a drink and drug addiction for junk food when Covid closed gyms and pools.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Arg had the op to help him lose 11 stone and save his life – though he feared he might not even survive the op.
Just two days after the surgery, the star told us from his hospital bed: "This is the biggest operation I’ve ever had in my life, so I was scared.
“I did say to the surgeon, ‘Is there a chance I might not wake up?’ He said there was a small chance.”
Now he hopes to slim down to 16st after having half his stomach removed during the £10,000 procedure.
Arg said it was touch and go as to whether the surgery would go ahead, as he struggled to stick to a pre-op diet of 1,000 calories a day and his body mass index hit almost 50 — whereas a healthy figure is 18 to 25.
He said at the time: "There were a few times I found it too hard and couldn’t stick to it. I was almost too big to have the operation, which is scary.”
Last year, he admitted to The Sun he was a cocaine addict after taking the drug for seven years and suffering two near-fatal overdoses, which left ex Gemma Collins calling an ambulance over fears he would die.
