Love Island prize money: How much money do the Love Island winners get?

Love Island 2019 comes to an end tonight (Monday, July 29). The four couples in the final are Ovie Soko and India Reynolds, Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard, Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill, and Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague. Only one couple can win the series overall and take home the cash prize.

How much money do the Love Island winners get?

The Love Island winning couple wins a £50,000 cash prize.

However, there is always the chance that one of the Islanders in the winning couple will take the £50,000 prize for themselves.

After the winning couple is announced, the two Islanders in the couple will pick an envelope each.

One of the envelopes contains the prize and the other is empty. The islander who picks the winning envelope will then have the choice to split the money or keep it all for themselves.

Every winning couple of Love Island over the past four years has decided to split the money.

The Islanders are expected to earn a lot more money when they leave the villa from advertisements, endorsements, public appearances and many other events.

The third favourites to win are Ovie and India at odds of 5/1 at Skybet, Betfair and PaddyPower.

Betfair spokeswoman Katie Baylis said: “With just hours till the final we’ve seen a late flurry of bets on Amber and Greg to win and they are now odds-on 10/11 favourites ahead of Tommy and Molly-Mae who have been favoured for weeks but are now 11/10.

“Ovie and India have proved popular as well in the last few days and are at 5/1, while Curtis and Maura don’t have a chance according to punters and are at odds of 33/1.

“It looks to be a two-horse race now and it should come right down to the wire, with Greg and Amber now pipped to get the win.”

Betfair’s odds for the winning couple 2019 are:

  • Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea 10/11
  • Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague 11/10
