Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) takes shocking action in EastEnders next week in the wake of a car crash that leaves Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in a severely bad way.
The schemer is on tenterhooks as the week kicks off, concerned that Linda will spill the beans about her involvement in Nancy (Maddy Hill) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) losing their restaurant money.
Linda, as it happens, intends to reveal all, as she and Nancy embark on a trip to Watford. But with Zack having let spill that Linda was contemplating departing the Square several weeks ago, animosity soon ensues between the mother and daughter duo.
Nancy storms off, abandoning Linda by the side of the road with baby Annie. Linda, feeling alone, turns to drink.
Janine is on edge when Nancy storms into the Vic, evidently upset, but she soon realises that she doesn’t know about the money. The matter manipulator’s attention is soon elsewhere, however, as she intercepts a call on Mick’s (Danny Dyer) phone from Linda, determined to keep them apart.
Janine gets a cab to Linda’s location, much to the landlady’s horror, and after a showdown by the side of the road, Janine gets into the car and sets about driving Linda and Annie home.
But tragedy strikes, as a car crash ensues.
Janine comes to shortly afterwards, but she soon realises that Linda’s injuries are incredibly severe.
In shocking scenes, she shows her true colours. The question is: just what will she do? Will she leave love rival Linda to die?
Subsequent scenes see Linda in a critical condition, with her family notified that she might not make it.
Is this truly the end for Linda Carter? Say it ain’t so!
