GMBs Ranvir Singh replaced in middle of show as health update is issued

Ranvir Singh has been pulled off ITV's Good Morning Britain after struggling live on air.

The 44 year old, who recently "found love" with her 26 year old boyfriend who she met on Strictly Come Dancing, appeared on the programme on Tuesday 29 March alongside Richard Madeley, 65, and Susanna Reid, 51, before making an unexpected exit.

Richard had shared his fears that Ranvir "wouldn't get through" her news segment before she explained to viewers that she was suffering from severe hay fever.

The TV host explained that she had woken up with streaming red eyes and a swollen face due to the pollen in the air and even went to Dr Hilary Jones for advice on what to do.

In an attempt to ease her symptoms, Ranvir took her contact lenses off and wore her glasses instead.

After finishing reading the news, Richard told her: "Hey, credit to you. You've got the worst hay fever I think I've ever seen," to which she responded: "I don't know what's going on. That's why I look like this today."

He then said: "I thought you were going to have to stop half way through, are you alright?"

"I'm OK, thanks. Just streaming eyes," she responded, but a mere 30 minutes later Louisa James had no choice but to step in to read the news.

When asked how Ranvir was doing after her replacement, Louise said: "She's OK, well we think she's going to be OK. We think Ranvir may have had an allergic reaction. She's got a sore eye. She's just resting."

Ranvir, who recently praised Liam Payne for his thoughts on Will Smith hitting Chris Rock, also took to her Twitter account to share how she was doing as she wrote: "Anyone else got the worst most painful stinging hay-fever they’ve ever had? I can barely keep my eyes open. If there was a vaccine for this I’d sign up asap :(".

Fans were quick to share their sympathy has one person commented: "Aw Ranvir, so sorry you are having a bad day.

I have never suffered from hay fever in my life so I don't know how it feels. But listen to the Dr Hils."

Another person could relate as they shared: "I’m so glad you said something – since Saturday my daughter and I have such stingy eyes can barely keep them open! have prescription tablets but not helped much – have seen people advertise a jab but not sure if it works or is safe? Want to have ice cubes on my eyelids!"
