FORMER Changing Rooms host Carol Smillie tore a strip off bosses of the rebooted version of the DIY hit for not asking her back.
The telly star, 59, known for her cheerful personality, liked a series of tweets criticising the decision to leave her out of the show’s new format.
She was a big part of the original series on the BBC, which ran from 1996 to 2003 — but co-presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was the only star asked to return for Channel 4’s version.
Carol has been replaced by Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson, 50.
Messages Carol liked included a tweet saying read: “I’m upset @carolsmillie1 wasn’t on there.”
Another read: “You were very good in the show its a pity your not doing it.”
And the Scot responded with laughing face emojis after one fan said they would not watch with Anna, 50, at the helm.
Carol, who also appeared with designers and builders including “Handy” Andy Kane, had denied she was upset.
Laurence, 56, told The Sun last week bosses were right to replace her, adding: “It wouldn’t have worked if it had been Jurassic Park.
"It had to be a reinvention.”
Wednesday’s opener, also starring married couple designers Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead, attracted 1.4million viewers.
