Emmerdale Tracy star gushes over reunion with co-star and has cried few times

Amy Walsh has gushed over reuniting with her Emmerdale family as she returns to the soap as Tracy Metcalfe.

The 36-year-old actress will make her comeback next week as her maternity leave comes to an end after welcoming her first child, a little girl named Bonnie.

Tracy returns with a bang as she's spotted in a wedding dress standing next to a hunky man by Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).

Speaking to Daily Star and other press about her return to the ITV soap, Amy said: "It's lovely to be back.

"I popped back last year for the 50th and that was short but sweet but now I feel like I've come back and never been away.

"It just feels so normal for me to be here.

"It's lovely being back with Jurell [Carter, who plays Nate Robinson].

"The hair and make-up team are like sisters to you and I've cried on the chair a few times already due to exhaustion or dropping my child off to nursery and coming in in tears.

"It's like a family and seeing everyone is lovely.

"You do lose touch a bit with good friends when you're away but it has reminded me how close we all are."

Tracy was last seen in the village back in October last year.

She come back with hopes of rekindling her romance with her former partner Nate, who is the father of her daughter Frankie, but things didn't go quite to plan.

When she arrived at hospital to visit an injured Nate following the cow stampede, Tracy saw Nate cosying up to Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) and the pair agreed to give it another go after sealing it with a kiss.

Tracy was resolved after seeing this to move on with her life and leave the village once again to return to Nottingham.

Fans will have to wait and see what brings Tracy back to the village and why she's wearing a wedding dress.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
