Fan spots major blunder in EastEnders

AN eagle-eyed Eastenders fan spotted a major gaffe on the cabbie office wall.

The show which launched in 1984 is set in the fictional London borough of Walford – postcode E20.

When the show started almost 40 years ago, E20, didn’t exist until 2011 when the Olympic Park was built in Stratford, and it took on the fictitious postcode.

One viewer argued that Walford’s postcode – E20 – was not included on the map.

The fan tweeted: “There’s a postcode map of London on the wall of the cab office in #EastEnders and it doesn’t include E20, Walford’s own post code.”

    When does Holby City finish?

While the Covid pandemic wasn't enough for production to be halted – as filming continued amid lockdown measures – TV bosses have made the decision to cancel Holby City.

The decision was announced back in June 2021, and left fans of the soap in shock as the long-standing programme has been on the air for 23 years.

A petition was even set up online begging for a U-turn, but sadly this wasn't enough to save the show

There is just ONE more episode left of the show, which will air on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at 8pm on BBC One.

He wrote: "Proud to have served alongside many of you. So grateful.

"I hope your last hours are full of that same love that bore you and filled our hearts for so many years."

Niamh McGrady, aka Mary-Claire Carter, followed up to share her love with the "Holby family today and always", seven years after her exit.

She remembered: "I cried for days when I left Holby City in 2015.

"Such a joyful place to work and where I forged amazing friendships and learned my craft.

"There will be a Holby shaped hole left in my heart forever."

Coronation Street fans all have same reaction after Lydia Chambers quits

CORONATION Street fans are devastated after Lydia Chambers left Weatherfield – after Adam Barlow covered for her.

The businesswoman – who is played by actress Rebecca Ryan in the ITV soap – finally confessed to her crimes tonight before leaving Weatherfield with a twist.

She had pushed Adam over a balcony earlier this week, leaving him for dead.

But tonight, Adam covered for Lydia, apologising for what he did, leaving Lydia stunned sitting at his bedside.

Sarah caught Lydia sitting at Adam’s bedside in the hospital – and was horrified.

But she soon got her revenge after following Lydia outside and listening to her confession.

“I’m sorry Sarah,” she said. "He’s not a bad man, not now, but he was a long time ago. It was me behind the harassment.

“I faked the affair, the death threat flowers, everything. I copied your keys to break into your flat, smashing my flat up to frame him and planting a burner phone so he’d look guilty. I didn’t have an affair with him.

“The worst part was lying to you. You’re the best friend I’ve had in a long time. But when I saw who you were with, who you were married to, and I say he hadn’t changed – I wanted to help you before he hurt you too.”

Emmerdale fans horrified as Paddy Dingle walks out on Marlon

EMMERDALE viewers are horrified after Paddy Dingle walked out and left Marlon Dingle alone after he came to from his operation.

The vet – who is played by actor Dominic Brunt in the ITV soap – was consumed by his own guilt over his friend’s condition and failed to support him.

After spending the entire episode finding any and every reason no to visit Marlon in the hospital, Paddy was finally forced to by Mandy.

But when he got there and found Marlon still asleep, he began crying and talking to his best pal.

“I am utterly terrified,” he told him making it all about himself.

“I thought I’d walk in here and you’d know who I was but in your head you’d be screaming for help like someone drowning and I’d be stood on the shore waving like a flipping idiot.

“Or even worse I’d be here and you’d have absolutely no idea who I was. Will you just come back to me, please? I can’t cope.”

But as Paddy spoke, Marlon’s eyes opened – but Paddy’s reaction left a lot to be desired.

“You’re awake!” he said before immediately jumping into a million questions Marlon had no chance of answering.

“Can you hear me? Can you speak? Marlon if you know who I am just blink twice. Marlon?” he said.

Emmerdale's Mark Charnock says soap storyline guided by stroke survivors

Emmerdale star Mark Charnock has said the soap worked with some "amazing people", including stroke survivors, in the build-up to his character's storyline.

Charnock, who has played chef Marlon Dingle on the soap for 25 years, collapsed and was rushed to hospital in the ITV soap opera.

In the episode on Monday evening, following the joy of his joint proposal with girlfriend Rhona, Dingle rushes to find the engagement ring when his vision becomes impaired.

Catching a sight of himself in the mirror, the character discovers his face has dropped on one side before collapsing on the floor.

Charnock, 53, said: "Emmerdale has worked with some amazing people on this storyline, including the Stroke Association, clinicians and survivors, people who have actually been through it."

The episode marked a long-running story which will explore the journey of the family after a life-changing stroke.

In a video to help identify the symptoms of a stroke, actor Charnock said: "In tonight's episode we saw Marlon have a stroke.

"Now strokes can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time and they happen every five minutes in the UK.

"50% of survivors are dependant on others for their every day needs and sadly one in seven strokes are fatal.

"Hopefully there is some really helpful information we can take from Marlon's story, the most important is the acronym F.A.S.T, we can use this to identify symptoms of a stroke in you or someone else."

The actress, who plays Ziggy Astoni, says she was “devastated” Neighbours has been dropped.

Sophie said: “It was such an iconic Australian television show. It was such a great starting ground for not only actors but cast, crew and directors. I knew so many people working on it and it’s heartbreaking to see.

“When we heard we were all very, very sad.”

In the UK, Home And Away and Neighbours are both on Channel 5 but they don’t share production companies – so hopefully Sophie has nothing to worry about.

Classic soap blunders: Corrie's Kev forgets his dead baby

In a now-legendary error, Coronation Street bosses actually had to apologise after mechanic Kevin Webster – played by Michael Le Vell – forgot his own baby had died.

He told daughter Sophie it “must be hard burying one of your kids” while helping her organise her girlfriend Maddie Heath’s funeral.

However, Kevin had, in fact, buried one of his kids 15 years previously in 2000, after he and wife Alison lost their son Jake just days after he was born.

Tragically, Alison later took her own life, throwing herself under a lorry after kidnapping baby Bethany Platt.

Producer Stuart Blackburn told The Sun: "Our episodes go through many drafts and are scrutinised by many people, but on this occasion we did make a mistake."
