Jimmy King (Nick Miles) couldn’t quite believe his luck, as after several long months of worry over whether or not he’d be going to prison, the Emmerdale stalwart was found not guilty.
The legend, who was on trial for the role he played in Paul Ashdale’s (Reece Dinsdale) demise, was truly shocked by the verdict, as was wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).
But in spite of him avoiding a prison sentence, the heartache was far from over, as Jimmy did not return home straight away, nor did he even let Nicola know of his fate.
Instead, he headed to see Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), who he kissed earlier this week. Mandy was adamant that she will only ever see Jimmy as a friend. Jimmy, however, evidently has feelings for her.
Nicola, meanwhile, was heartbroken that her hubby didn’t have the decency to let her know how he got on in court, revealing that she was mortified to have learned such information from Ethan Anderson (Emile John).
She gave him a good telling off when he eventually showed up in the cafe, with actress Nicola Wheeler delivering yet another incredible performance.
Jimmy, having thought long and hard about what he wants, ultimately decided to try and make his marriage work.
But in spite of his commitment to Nicola, he refrained from telling her about his snog with Mandy!
Will Nicola find out the truth? What’s more, will Jimmy be able to keep away from Mandy?
Will Jimmy and Nicola’s marriage survive?
‘I’d be bereft without a doubt [if Jimmy and Nicola split up],’ actor Nick Miles recently said. ‘I love working with Nicola.
‘It’s been great fun working with Lisa Riley as well but Jimmy and Nicola have had such a long partnership. I’d definitely miss it.’
So would we!
